Students should earn a passing score (as set by the District of Columbia teacher licensing agency) on PRAXIS I: Academic Skills Assessment, earn an average grade of 2.70 or higher in EDU-205 Schools and Society, EDU-320 Psychology of Education and a passing grade in EDU-321 Field Experience: Observation and Analysis, receive satisfactory recommendations from faculty, an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.70 or higher.

Students should submit the completed application along with application fee of U.S. $60.00. In additional, they should submit application essay of 500 words, statement of Interest (50-75 words) - for AU application only, academic records, two letters of recommendation, demonstrated leadership, volunteerism, community service and extracurricular activities, preliminary proof of financial resources (U.S. $20,000). Scores of TOEFL - Internet-based test score of 80 or higher; or Computer-based test score of 213 or higher; or Paper-based test score of 550 or higher, IELTS - Composite Score of 6.5 or higher, SAT I - Critical Reading score of 530 or higher, ACT (with writing test) - English sub-score of 23 or higher.
