Course description:

This program comprised of: General University Requirements (GURs) Major courses specifically focused on educational methods and standards; a minimum of 128 credits. Its graduates becomes as certified teacher and contribute to the success of Alaskan schools. Unique to APU, students have the opportunity to study "Education Innovations" focusing on comprehensive school restructuring, standards-based education, and quality school models.

Entry requirements:

Students must submit official transcripts of high school and all colleges or universities, a minimum score of 550 on the paper test or 79 on the Internet-based test in TOEFL for international students from non-English speaking country, course-by-course evaluation with a Grade Point Average (GPA).

Application details:

Students must complete the application online or print and mail paper application with $25 application fee, scores from Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for international students from non-English speaking country, essay, teacher recommendation, supplemental application (online or print and mail the paper application), present financial documentation (to support the information provided under the Annual Budget Section of the supplemental application), official transcripts (High School and all Colleges or Universities the applicant have attended), foreign credentials evaluation report (those who have completed part or all of their education outside of the U.S.).
