Course description:

In this program, students are taught to produce work of high quality that is stylistically strong and reproducible. Classes emphasize flexibility, follow-through and a high level of professionalism. This program also cultivates professional skills that will prepare students for successful careers. Some of these skills include creating an illustration from verbal or visual instruction, following a solid work process from concept to completion, and applying marketing principles to creating freelance opportunities.

Entry requirements:

Applicants should be a high school graduates or recipients of the G.E.D. and obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), 173 (computer-based) and 61 (internet-based). Additionally an interview with a representative of the school should be taken up by the applicants when they apply.

Application details:

Applicants should submit the completed application form along with $25 non-refundable application fee. In addition to this an official transcript of grades from a high school and any post-secondary school attended should be mailed directly to American Academy of Art, Office of the Registrar, at 332 S. Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60604-4302.
