Having worked for four years, it is difficult to get back to studies. I am trying my best to cope up with studies. Do enough research on courses you want to pursue. Have a clear vision as to what you want to do before you decide on which B School you want to study.
It was a straight forward process for me. I gave GMAT and sent my score to Katz and got an interview call. I had a face to face interview on campus. And I was notified of the result in a month time. I have never faced a problem during VISA. Traveling was a pleasant experience.
According to me, the professors are one of the best in the industry. Professor Mirchandani, Professor Harry Evans are experts in their domain and bring tremendous amount of experience to the table. I have taken IT and strategy. And would stick on to my field of experience. On an average 25 hours per week. Professors are always available for assistance. Even on weekends and on odd timings. Yes. In this tough times, choose B Schools which are generous enough to fund your education.
Facilities are good particularly the Hillman and Mervis libraries. We have fin lab which is made specially for Finance students. Haven't explored other places yet. No idea about part time jobs on campus. Many events are organized by ANKUR foundation. We had diwali night, India night, Independence day special etc organized by ANKUR.
I would want Katz to improve on its recruitment team. The career service is not all that great. I am open to going back to India. Definitely, I would keep in touch with Alumni. That is how networking is done and many contacts are established.
