ratingSelection process and gaining admission

I didn't have to appear for any exam during the selection procedure. A VISA was required though. The VISA interview went off smoothly. I flew by Emirates and the experience was good. I landed at San Francisco and the University was just half-an-hour drive from the airport. I carried two bags which weighed 46 kgs. Extra luggage was allowed with a fee. I did not have any immigration problem. The University had not arranged for any "meet and greet" service.

The study experience at UCB was very good. The lecturers were very helpful. The research environment was excellent.

Accommodation was provided by the University. I stayed in International House, Berkeley. It was self-service accommodation. Had access to the University's library facilities and they were very good. Had to attend lectures and the lecture halls were well-equipped. Nice social scene and climate.
