Curriculum

The Department of Computer Science follows a research focused and balanced curriculum that can be customized to suit every student’s interests and strengths. The curriculum not only trains students in all sorts of computer science fundamentals but challenges them to explore beyond the basics.

Instructors, who are leading researchers in different fields of computer science, design a curriculum that reflects their latest research findings. Moving beyond a text-book based, rigid study plan, the staff allows students to explore the emerging trends in computer science. This innovative approach helps students to keep pace with the rapidly changing computer science technologies and prepares them for the challenging careers ahead.

Students are not required to appear for a disproportionate number of courses but instead  are allowed to focus on specializations. The Department of Computer Science upholds the interdisciplinary nature of computer studies by allowing computer science students to specialize in other fields of study such as computer integrated surgery, applied math, economics, cognitive science, music, and film and media studies.
