The Savannah State University was originally called the Georgia State Industrial College for Colored Youth. Founded in 1890, it is the oldest public historically black college in Georgia. The university is now located in Savannah, Georgia. All the academic programs span across the College of Business Administration, the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences and the College of Sciences and Technology. Baccalaureate and masters degrees are awarded by the University.
